Roman Catholic Prison Chaplains
Many people in prison need more help at this time in their lives than at any other. Some find support in their Faith, but for others, a good listener is what is needed.
Roman Catholic Chaplains work within a multi-faith team to ensure the spiritual and pastoral needs of Roman Catholic prisoners are met. As a Chaplain you will carry out faith specific and generic duties taking part in a range of resettlement activities including engaging with the local community.
We ask that you have an open mind and the ability to relate to all sorts of people. To be considered you must be an ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church, an ordained Deacon, Religious Brother or Sister, or a suitably qualified lay person. Formal endorsement in the form of recognition from the Diocesan Bishop or religious superior is essential.
Vacancies arise in all prison establishments in England and Wales
