“Helping rebuild troubled lives” SVP Organ & Choir Concert at Leeds Cathedral
The SVP in Leeds are organising a special fundraising event on Tuesday 30th March, featuring a unique mixture of classical music from the 16th to 21st centuries. The event, which is being sponsored by Capel (C.S) Ltd, is being held on Tuesday 30th March to raise funds for joint beneficiaries the Leeds Cathedral Support Choir, and the two SVP Special Works in Leeds; St Jude’s Furniture Store and St Vincent Support Centre.
There will be performances from the Three Leeds Cathedral Choirs and a preview of the new Cathedral organ. The programme is being directed by Benjamin Saunders and Christopher McElroy and includes the world premiere of Robert Fokkem’s “Ave Verum Corpus” and a rare performance of Jean Langlais’ “Caritas Christi”.
Doors open at 7.10pm, for a 7.30pm start, and tickets cost £10 each, with £6 tickets available for Concessions and £25 family tickets also available. These are available from local SVP Conferences in the Leeds area or direct from St Vincent’s on 0113 248 4126 or on St Jude’s on 0113 245 0800.
