Soup Runs

Provide food, warm drinks and companionship to homeless people in three areas.

“May we carry gifts to the poor and, to the rich, words of gratitude.”

Blessed Frederic Ozanam - the Society’s Founder

Homeless man

The SVP operates three Soup Run services in Brighton, Central London and Clacton-on-Sea. These provide hot drinks, sandwiches, biscuits and other food, and blankets to people living on the streets.

The service is not just about food provision. It is about meeting up with people and personal interaction as much as anything else.

Over 20,000 people benefit from the SVP soup runs every year. The projects are supported by 200 volunteers, committing an average of 150 voluntary hours each week. The SVP soups runs are always keen to receive donations of goods, funds and volunteer support.
