The aim of the St Vincent de Paul Society is the same today as it was at its inception in the 19th Century - to tackle poverty in all its forms through the provision of practical assistance to those in need.
Over the years, the SVP has responded to social changes at a local and national level by providing a range of additional services depending on the prevailing need in the area. Today, these Community Support Projects and Special Works include furniture stores, community support centres, disability projects, soup runs, providing accommodation to vulnerable people, children's camps and various holiday schemes amongst other things.
By donating regularly you can become a Friend to the St Vincent de Paul Society and ensure that some of todays most excluded people are given a chance at a better life, while also contributing positively to the future of this work.
Barry, Emma & Eleanor are just two of our recent success stories.
