The wellbeing programme is designed with a holistic approach to support in mind, encouraging participation in activities and sessions to increase social wellbeing through social interaction, skills-building a volunteering opportunities. All sessions are free.

Knit and Natter

Try your hand at something new - every Monday and Friday (see activities timetable for times) we have a lovely friendly knit and natter group who get together for a therapeutic knitting session.  Don't worry if you don't know how to knit, we have our lovely Gloria who can help you master the technique.  If knitting is not for you, the group also enjoy jewellery making and mindful colouring in at the session.

 

Launching our new Memory Lane drop-in session

We are pleased to let you know that St Vincent's Centre, Newcastle has launched its new Memory Lane, dementia drop in session.  The group will run monthly (the last Monday of every month) and we aim to provide a safe, welcoming space for those affected by cognitive decline.  A relaxed informal drop-in group providing support for people living with Dementia, their families and carers. 

There will be free activities,socialising, music and refreshments provided.

Every Friday we have a Men's session - a group led by our very talented David, teaching men the art of poetry and the positive affect creative writting can have on wellbeing.  The session also includes a free meal and refreshments.
