We are delighted to offer a paid for holiday for children in hardship. This is our second Wales Vinnie Camp after a very successful camp in Pembrokeshire in 2025.
The camp is open to 20 children in Year 6 and 7 and is entirely funded by the St Vincent de Paul Society and their generous donors. For safeguarding reasons, we are unable to provide a place for pupils in different Year Groups.
The camp consists of 4 nights fully catered arriving Monday August 24th 2026, with sole use of Llain Activity Centre near Newquay, Pembrokeshire and finishing on Friday 28th August 2026.
We will have the sole use of 4 log cabins. Each of the four cabins has 2 en suite bedrooms sleeping a total of 12 people in bunk beds (6 + 6), as well as a ‘teacher/leader’ twin room.
AALA licensed activity providers ‘Activity Pembrokeshire’ provide professional, safe, exciting experiences for all of the highest quality.
The program of activities would include climbing, rafting, kayaking, high ropes, archery, mud run, nature walks, orienteering, dolphin watching and coasteering.
We will have different coach pick up points on the day of departure and return to suit children and their families.
There will be 8 adults accompanying the children, all DBS checked and interviewed for their suitability. All meals are included except the first lunch on the Monday where we would ask children to bring a packed lunch.
The camp is fully funded by SVP Cardiff and Menevia.
