Our learning programme aims to tackle deprivation issues, focusing on local needs.

Classes teach important life skills to help learners move on to further education or employment or to have the confidence to become more involved in their local community.

Each week, we run several classes which focus on literacy, English, Information Computer Technology, Help Into Work and more.

St Vincent's Centre, Leeds is the largest free provider of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) in Leeds.

St Vincent's Centre, Leeds is part of the MESH (Migrant English Support Hub) project which coordinates all the ESOL providers in Leeds to make it easier for people to find a course in their area.

We offer Certa Accredited courses including Team Building, Employability and Volunteering Skills, in addition to our own informal learning programmes. We are proud to have links with partner agencies including the Job Centre, Citizens Advice Bureau and Manuel Bravo who all offer specialised expert help to give learners the best experience.

St Vincent’s employment programmes provides individuals with the help needed to regain control of their lives.

We help people return to supporting themselves and their families through employment. We provide learning opportunities, volunteer work placements and individual support through our employment support programme – STEP UP. We work with a range of public and private partners to provide dedicated mentoring focused around the needs of an individual.

We also run a weekly job club aimed at developing CVs, help with applying for jobs, preparing for interviews and access to IT support and careers advice. Our partners include British Gas, Land Security, Trinity Shopping Centre, National Career Service and Job Centre Plus.
