We are currently looking for people who are interested in joining our dedicated volunteering team at St Vincent’s Centre and Superstore in Bradford.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer. You will be serving the local community, helping those in need as well as gaining invaluable experience and developing a wide range of skills such as customer service skills.
As a Centre Volunteer, you will be able to work for various different departments to suit your wants and interests. Including:
Admin
Where you would be performing clerical tasks such as filing, data input, photocopying etc.
Shop
Where you would help with:
- Stock rotation.
- Organising/tidying shop.
- Shop displays.
- Sorting donations.
- Processing sales through till and handling money.
- Dealing with customer enquiries.
Café
Where you could help with:
- Assisting with food preparation. (Requires Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene)
- Taking orders.
- Washing up.
- Cleaning tables, surfaces etc.
- Processing sales through till and handling money.
- Dealing with customer enquiries.
Warehouse
Where you would be:
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
- Helping with general upkeep of building.
- Transporting heavy furniture and other household items around the warehouse.
Garden
Where you could be:
- Planting and sowing seeds.
- Heling with maintenance and general upkeep of the garden.
No experience is needed as training and ongoing support will be provided.
