The need now is greater than ever. Can you help?
The Covid pandemic still continues, many government supports that have been in place for the past year and a half are being withdrawn and this is the first opportunity we’ve had for a year and a half to really talk to each other.
From September 5 - 27, we will be celebrating all things SVP and acknowledging the feast days of Blessed Frédéric Ozanam and St Vincent de Paul on 9 and 27 September respectively.
We will be telling the SVP's story and celebrating how small gestures of kindness can help transform lives. We'll celebrate the inspirational work of SVP members and volunteers, and also reflect on the past year; the challenges, the ceaseless dedication to serve and the compassionate response in the face of an unfolding crisis.
Your support really matters, more than ever before. We are issuing a call for more members and volunteers to join our mission to tackle poverty in all its forms through a million gestures of kindness.
Get involved today and help us to continue serving the needs of communities in England and Wales:
You can also donate. Every donation ensures that our members have the support they need to offer practical assistance and a hand of friendship to people and families in need.
Acts of kindness don't always have to be grand, more often they are seemingly insignificant; a chat with a housebound older person, picking up some shopping for a neighbour, or even telephoning someone just to say 'hello'. It's through a million gestures of kindness like these that we can start to address the enormity of the mountain we must all climb.
