Jan Cruikshanks, our Catering Supervisor has been awarded a prestigious Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Club of Great Britain - "in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among the peoples of the world".
The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals, recognized for their outstanding contributions, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing “SERVICE ABOVE SELF.
Jan is a powerhouse at St Vincent's Newcastle. Every Tuesday she prepares a free 3 course lunch for 200 guests, as well as stocking and running our Community Pantry, and running Cooking on a Budget courses each week.
We are so proud of everything she does for our project and the SVP - she is a great Vincentian and now a Rotarian as well.
