New charity shop officially opens in York to provide quality goods at affordable prices
The St Vincent de Paul Society (England and Wales) officially opened its newest charity shop on Saturday on Melrosegate in York, which will give shoppers the opportunity to browse the shop, meet the staff and hopefully grab a bargain.
Despite the shop having opened its doors back in May, this ‘official’ shop opening is an opportunity to showcase what the shop has to offer, alongside giving people a chance to discuss volunteer opportunities.
Filled with a fantastic range of clothing, toys, books and homeware, the shop offers products at affordable prices. The shop will be open from 9am until 4.30pm Monday to Saturday where all customers are welcomed.
Volunteers are always needed for the shop to help with the day-to-day running, and this opening will give anyone who may be interested an opportunity to come along and ask questions about volunteering.
The shop is part of the wider St Vincent de Paul Society (England and Wales) which aims to tackle poverty in all its form regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or any other circumstances.
