The India Fund

 

By donating to the India Fund, you are helping SVP India to continue supporting those most in need. 

The India Fund is used on a wide range of projects and schemes, including supporting students, contributing to the Assam Healthcare Clinic, funding community projects which provide direct and long-lasting impact, and more. SVP England & Wales and SVP India work together closely to ensure funds are used effectively and make the greatest possible difference.

A current area of high-priority is financial support to students.

Suggested amounts:

  • £15 could support a primary school student for one year
  • X could cover medicine at Assam clinic for.....
  • X could purchase X at the Jyoti Jeevan home for ....
  • £70 could support a student in TVTS (courses generally last 3 years)
  • £100 could contribute to a community project, such as purchasing a mobile mortuary van for the community
  • £120 could support a student in Higher Education (courses generally last 4 years)
  • £150 could support 10 primary school students for a year
  • £250 could contribute to a larger project, such as a micro funding loan to woman who want to set up their own business

Your donation will be worth a total of £100.

If you opt-in to Gift Aid this will increase the amount by a further £25, an overall total of £125.

If you are a higher rate tax payer then you may be eligible for 20% tax relief on the total value of your gift, including Gift Aid. This means the actual cost of the gift to you, after reclaiming higher rate tax, will amount to £15 per year.
